Project management in construction and infrastructure

We provide project management for construction and infrastructure investments in Romania, including Oradea and Bihor: planning, delivery coordination, and monitoring of deadlines and costs.

Project Management: how to correlate the schedule, costs, and decisions: practical article for project preparation.

Project management: objectives, deliverables, and responsibilities

We support project planning, coordination, and control by defining objectives, scope of intervention, and performance, timeline, and cost requirements. We develop the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for deliverables and work packages and align it with organizational responsibilities, resources, and allocated budgets. We establish completion and acceptance criteria, checkpoints, and decision approval mechanisms. We organize the project management plan and baselines for monitoring scope, schedule, and costs, in accordance with client requirements.

Integrated schedules and dependencies

We develop integrated schedules that correlate studies and investigations, design, permitting, procurement, execution, testing, and handover, depending on the project scope. We define durations, work calendars, precedence relationships, and technical or operational constraints. We analyze the critical path, float, and resource availability, identifying activities with the potential to delay subsequent stages. We update the schedule based on verified progress and estimated remaining durations and evaluate recovery scenarios by reordering activities, redistributing resources, or adjusting phasing.

Progress and cost monitoring

We monitor physical progress against deliverables, executed quantities, and milestones, using measurement rules established for each work package. We correlate achievements with recorded expenses, contractual commitments, and forecasted financial requirements. We analyze budget and schedule variances, as well as discrepancies between reported progress and available evidence. We update estimates of remaining costs, total cost at completion, and cash flows, highlighting the assumptions and events that may alter these forecasts.

Coordination and document flow

We coordinate interfaces between the client, designers, contractors, suppliers, and operators of the affected infrastructure. We organize the flow of documentation, requests for information (RFI), technical observations, and responses, identifying the applicable version and the person responsible for resolution. We ensure document consistency across specialties, the closure of non-conformities, and compliance with transmission and verification deadlines. We document decisions and actions resulting from coordination meetings, maintaining traceability between identified issues, agreed-upon solutions, and the documents through which they are implemented.

Risks, issues, and changes

We manage risk, issue, and change registers by evaluating the probability, impact, and dependencies between events. Together with the involved parties, we establish prevention, mitigation, or response measures, with assigned owners, deadlines, and trigger conditions. For proposed changes, we analyze the effects on the technical solution, deliverables, quantities, resources, costs, and schedule. We prepare the necessary justifications for decision-making and track the integration of approved changes into the baseline documentation and schedules, maintaining records of versions and reasons for revision.

Project reports and decisions

We prepare periodic reports and dashboards that present achievements, variances, forecasts, active risks, and decisions necessary for project continuation. We use indicators adapted to the investment, such as milestone compliance, deliverable progress, budget consumption, and RFI resolution time. In the closing phase, we support the verification of documentation completeness, follow-up on remaining observations, and confirmation of handover criteria fulfillment. We organize the transfer of information to the client and operations teams and document lessons learned for future projects.

Data required for a quote

  • Budget, baseline schedule, and current status.
  • Participants and their responsibilities.
  • Known risks and coordination points.

Frequently asked question

Can monitoring begin for a project already in progress?

Yes. It is necessary to establish the baseline situation from contracts, schedules, deliverables, costs, and risks before organizing periodic reporting.
