Road design theme and site conditions
We develop projects for the construction, modernization, and rehabilitation of roads, access ways, parking lots, and traffic platforms by correlating topographic and geotechnical data with infrastructure function and projected traffic. We analyze the terrain configuration, characteristics of the existing network, vehicle categories, and estimated loads over the operational life. We establish design parameters and site integration conditions, including constraints generated by properties, structures, utilities, and existing access points.
Route geometry and vehicle maneuvers
We define the route geometry in plan and longitudinal profile, establishing alignments, curves, gradients, and vertical transitions. We configure cross-sections, carriageway widths, shoulders, transverse slopes, and roadside facilities. We design intersections and junctions according to traffic flows and representative vehicles, checking turning radii, space required for maneuvers, and visibility conditions. We correlate vehicular traffic with pedestrian paths and other user categories, depending on the investment's purpose.
Road structure design and road rehabilitation
We dimension road structures in relation to design traffic, subgrade characteristics, climatic conditions, and loading regimes. We determine the composition, materials, and layer thicknesses, ensuring load-bearing capacity, resistance to deformation, and durability of the road system. For rehabilitation works, we correlate intervention solutions with identified degradation, available investigations, and the state of existing layers. We analyze the necessity for replacement, consolidation, or reinforcement and treat connections between new and existing structures.
Earthworks and water drainage
We design earthworks by establishing platform levels, excavation and embankment volumes, and roadbed construction conditions. We define requirements regarding materials, compaction, and ground improvement, as applicable. We integrate water collection and drainage systems by correlating surface slopes with gutters, ditches, gullies, culverts, and sewer networks. We verify flow continuity and discharge conditions, aiming to limit water accumulation, infiltration into the road structure, and erosion phenomena.
Drawings, quantities, and work phasing
We prepare site plans, longitudinal and cross profiles, construction details, calculation briefs, specifications, and bills of quantities, specifying requirements for materials, execution, and quality control. We design road signage and markings in correlation with geometry and traffic organization. For sites currently in operation, we analyze work phasing, maintenance of access, and temporary traffic management. We provide technical assistance to clarify solutions and adapt documentation to site-specific conditions, while maintaining functionality and safety requirements.
